Welcome

Philippians 2:5-11 is one of my favorite passages in the Bible.  Philippians is a letter written by the apostle Paul to the Philippian church.  The letter was  most likely written while he was imprisoned for his Christian ministry.  This particular passage is poetry and was possibly a song.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself  and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place  and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,  to the glory of God the Father.

What an example Jesus has set for us.  Out of his love for us, he gave up all of his glory to be born in a lowly manager, to live a perfect life, and to die on the cross for our sins.  His claim to be the Christ was validated by his resurrection.

One day all creation, those that have accepted Him as Savior and Lord and those who have not, will bow before him as Lord.

Hopefully, this website will help people to understand God’s wonderful love for us, his marvelous grace that was shown to us through Jesus’ death on the cross, and the need for us all to place our faith in Jesus.  Then one day, we like the angels in Heaven, will bow before the Lord and proclaim:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”  (Isaiah 6:3 NIV)
